Carlos E. Ventura, PhD, P.Eng., PE | Director of Structural Dynamics

Dr. Carlos E. Ventura is a Structural Engineer and researcher from Guatemala with particular interest in earthquake engineering, structural dynamics, instrumentation, and structural testing. Dr. Ventura is Director of the Earthquake Engineering Research Facility and Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of British Columbia. He is a registered professional engineer in British Columbia, California and Guatemala. Dr. Ventura has over 20 years of experience in structural engineering and has written more than 200 published papers on structural dynamics and earthquake engineering.
