Purpose of Test: The Port Mann Bridge is a key component of the Trans Canada Highway, carrying traffic across the Fraser River, east of Vancouver, British Columbia. As part of a Seismic Assessment Study of the bridge, an ambient vibration test was conducted of the main span and a portion of the south approach of the bridge. Results obtained from this study provided the necessary information to calibrate the computer model used for the assessment of the structure.
